Montreal police seek public help to trace 26-year-old Sridhar Nidamanuri who went missing on April 21

Another Indian has gone missing, this time in Montreal, Canada. Sridhar Nidamanuri, a 26-year-old employee of BNP Paribas was last seen at his apartment in downtown Montreal one week ago.

Sridhar was seen last Friday morning, but did not report for work on Monday. When his employer couldn’t contact him, they reached out to his emergency contact, according to reports.

It was only then that friends and family got to know about Sridhar’s missing status. Even though it has been about a week since he went missing, the police have been unable to trace him.

Sridhar’s wallet and mobile phone were both recovered from his apartment so it is particularly puzzling as to where he could have gone.

Sridhar who hails from Andhra Pradesh is single and has been living and working in Canada for some time now. His parents are back in India and have been worried sick since they heard the news of his going missing.

The Telugu Association of Montreal is trying to help find Sridhar by sharing his pictures and details with the community. The Montreal Police too released his photo and are asking for the public’s help in locating him. So, far friends and family have found no trace of the young professional.

This is not the first case of an Indian going missing in North America. Just last month, a teenager from Arkansas, Tanvi Marupally went missing after school.

She was seen leaving her Conway school in Arkansas in a security camera footage. After extensive search by the police and missing person drives organized by friends, family and community, she was finally found two months later in Tampa.

She was found in a library, in a safe and healthy condition following a tip from someone to the police.
