Former Indian American Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley told Pennsylvania voters to “take the emotion” out of the election and vote for her one time boss turned primary rival Donald Trump.

“I’m gonna ask all of you, to take the emotion out of this election,” she said Wednesday, according to the Hill. “We need to take the emotion out of this election and really think about the policy and what it means for our kids and the next generation.”

Haley, who was in the Keystone State to support Republican Senate candidate Dave McCormick, also said, “When I tell you this can’t be emotional, we have to do more than just elect Dave McCormick.”

“We have to elect Donald Trump,” she added. “Because if Donald Trump wins Pennsylvania, Dave McCormick wins Pennsylvania.”

Haley and former President Trump went head-to-head in this year’s Republican presidential primary, and the two often went after each other during their fight for the Republican nomination. She later said, however, she would vote for him.

“As a voter, I put my priorities on a president who’s going to have the backs of our allies and hold our enemies to account, who would secure the border, no more excuses,” Haley said in May. “A president who would support capitalism and freedom, a president who understands we need less debt not more debt.”

“Trump has not been perfect on these policies. I’ve made that clear, many, many times. But [President] Biden has been a catastrophe. So, I will be voting for Trump,” she said.

Meanwhile, according to Politico, With only four days until the election, Haley remains on standby for Trump to engage Nikki Haley on the campaign trail.

Trump and Haley’s teams have remained in contact about appearing together, it said citing campaign officials. But at a time when Trump is lagging with women and Democrats have been courting so-called “Haley voters,” Republicans who cast a protest ballot for her in party primaries after she dropped out, Trump has so far chosen not to schedule any appearances with his former UN ambassador in the final stretch.

The former president has been largely dismissive of the idea. Trump told Fox News she has already been helping and noted that he beat her “badly” in the GOP primary.

“I’ll do what I have to do,” Trump said of campaigning with Haley. “I beat Nikki badly.”

He said, “I beat everybody by numbers that have never happened before. And they keep talking about Nikki. Nikki, I like Nikki. Nikki, I don’t think she should have done what she did. And that’s fine that she did it,” Trump said. “Nikki is in. Nikki is helping us already.”

Haley, who told Fox News she has not spoken to Trump since June, said, “There’s no bad blood between me and the president. We want Donald Trump to win. I respect his campaign and what they need. If they need something, they will call and ask me.”

But she also has been doing some armchair quarterbacking from afar, according to Politico.

“This bromance and masculinity stuff, it borders on edgy to the point that it’s going to make women uncomfortable,” Haley said. “That is not the way to win women. That is not the way to win people who are concerned about Trump’s style.”
