Dr. Suresh Reddy re-elected Oak Brook Trustee

A past president of American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), Reddy grew up in the suburbs of Hyderabad

Dr. Suresh Reddy, an Indian American physician and community leader, has won a second term as a Trustee for the township, an affluent locality of about 10,000 people, about 15 miles west of Chicago, Illinois.
“I am truly humbled and deeply grateful for the trust and support you’ve shown me in this election. This victory isn’t mine alone—it belongs to every resident who believes in a united, forward-thinking, and inclusive Oak Brook,” said Dr. Reddy after his re-election.

Dr. Reddy was among the four candidates running to be Trustees for the three openings that were contested in the April 1 election. Jim Nagle and Dr. Melissa Martin were also elected.
“Your faith in me renews my commitment to serve with integrity, transparency, and purpose,” Reddy said adding he is “more determined than ever to represent every corner of our vibrant community.”
“Oak Brook stands at a pivotal moment in its growth and development. I firmly believe that through open dialogue, mutual respect, and shared values, we can continue to shape a village we’re all proud to call home,” he said.
Dr. Reddy, a past president of American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) thanked Mayor Larry Herman for his leadership and partnership.
Dr. Reddy grew up in the suburbs of Hyderabad in Southern India. Dr. Reddy completed his advanced medical training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School and has stayed on Harvard Faculty for more than a decade where he had also served as Chief of Interventional Neuroradiology.
Subsequently, Dr. Reddy and family moved to Chicago which has now become his home. “Now that I call Oak Brook my home, I would like to contribute and serve my community by participating in public service,” he said.
Dr. Reddy called upon the people of Oak Brook to come together and “celebrate the rich diversity of our community—our backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. It is this blend of heritage and shared American values that makes Oak Brook truly special.”
