Body of Indian American Ankit Bagai, missing since April 9, found in Maryland lake
Police suspect no foul play in the death of 30-year-old software engineer Ankit Bagai
The body of a 30-year-old Indian American missing since April 9 has been found in a small lake in Germantown, MD, roughly three miles away from his home.
Montgomery Police said in a release that the body of Ankit Bagai was recovered in Lake Churchill on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

“Officers were called to the area of Afternoon and Summersong Lanes at approximately 8 a.m., for the report of a body in the water,” the release said. “The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and identified as 30-year-old Ankit Bagai of Germantown.”
Police said no foul play is suspected.
He was reported missing and last seen on April 9, 2023, at approximately 11:30 a.m. near his home.
According to his family, Bagai had been on several life-saving medications he had not used for more than a week.
The family had announced a reward of $5,000 for anyone who provided any leads about Bagai.
According to a social media post, a funeral service will be held in Fairfax on Thursday, April 20.
