Caitlin Sandra Neil crowned Miss India USA 2024
Chennai-born Indian American student at University of California, Davis wants to make a positive impact on her community

Caitlin Sandra Neil, a 19-year-old, Chennai-born Indian American student has won Miss India USA 2024 title at the annual beauty pageant for young women of Indian descent who are residents of the United States.
The pageant in New Jersey was organized by the India Festival Committee. The winner of the Miss India USA pageant represents the United States at the Miss India Worldwide pageant.

Neil who is studying cognitive science with a computational emphasis at the University of California, Davis, says she wants to make a positive impact on her community.
“I want to leave a positive lasting impact on my community and focus on women’s empowerment and literacy,” Neil stated in a media release.
Neil, who came to the United States at the age of five, wants to be a web designer while also doing modelling as well as acting. Her win at the Miss India USA beauty pageant reflects her dedication and goal to contribute to society meaningfully and simultaneously achieve personal success in her chosen field.
Sanskriti Sharma from Illinois won Mrs India USA and Arshita Kathpalia from Washington won Miss Teen India USA titles. They were crowned by last year’s winners, Sneha Nambiar and Rijul Maini.
The first and second runners-up of the Miss India USA competition were Nirali Desai of Illinois and Manini Patel of New Jersey. Sapna Mishra of Virginia and Chinamayee Ayachit from Connecticut were declared as first and second runners-up in the Mrs India USA Category.
In the teen category, Dhriti Patel of Rhode Island and Sonali Sharma were declared as the first and second runners-up.
A total of 47 contestants participated in the event representing 25 states and competed against each other across three categories. The pageant continues to provide a platform for Indian-American talent to exhibit their skills, heritage, and ambitions.
