IIT2024 Global Conference focuses on innovation
Alumni of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are holding the IIT2024 Global Conference in National Harbor, MD, just outside Washington, DC, with the theme of “Innovation for a Better World.”
The three-day conference from Jan. 12 to 14 at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center will focus on four major areas — Artificial Intelligence, Health & Medicine, Energy & Environment and India Rising.
The Conference will highlight innovators and thought leaders spanning business, government, academia and research from a variety of cutting-edge fields, and seeks to spark further creative ideation through thought-provoking cross-disciplinary sessions to advance technology progress, effective policy and social impact.
Keynote speakers include Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Indian Ambassador to the USA, Sethuraman Panchanathan, Director, National Science Foundation; Vinod Khosla, Founder and CEO, Khosla Ventures, Arvind Krishna, CEO, IBM, Aneesh Chopra, former United States CTO, President CareJourney; Rick Rossow; Chair India Policies, CSIS; and Tanvi Madan, Senior Fellow for Foreign Policy, Brookings.
PANIIT 2016 Leadership Conference to be held in Providence, RI, from Aug. 12 to 14 (June 1, 2016)
The IIT2024 Global Conference USA is a prestigious and globally recognized gathering organized by the PanIIT USA Alumni Association.
These conferences serve as a platform for IIT alumni from all over the world to come together, network, collaborate, and ideate on important issues related to technology, entrepreneurship, leadership, and societal impact.
The first ever PanIIT Global Conference took place in 2003 in Cupertino, California, with Bill Gates as a keynote speaker, and is now a regular event that attracts a large number of alumni.
The PanIIT organization brings together alumni from the IITs, the world-renowned engineering and technology institutes in India.
PanIIT aims to foster a strong network and sense of camaraderie among IIT alumni, regardless of their IIT campus or graduation year. It serves as a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and professional development.
The IITs rank close to Stanford and Harvard in the number of “unicorn” technology companies they have founded. IIT alumni have contributed to cutting-edge advancements in many sectors, ranging from information technology to biotechnology.
The IIT alumni network in the US continues to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and entrepreneurship. The PanIIT USA Conferences and the IIT Startups initiative are part of this effort.
