The Islamist war on UAE: A desperate campaign to cover up Muslim Brotherhood’s crimes in Sudan

In complex, conflict-ridden Sudan, “Alkaizan” has emerged as the new symbol of chaos and authoritarianism that used to rule Sudan for more than three decades under the banner of the Muslim Brotherhood. Although their regime fell in 2019, the group never disappeared from the scene. Instead, it staged a comeback in a new form, and is mounting relentless attacks on its regional adversaries, chiefly the United Arab Emirates, which has become the primary target of several defamation and misinformation campaigns.

Alkaizan, the Sudanese wing of the Muslim Brotherhood, has not forgiven the UAE for its firm stance against their destructive agenda, nor for its humanitarian support for people in crisis. They exploit religion as a tool to remain in power. The UAE, which supported Sudan’s democratic transition and generously provided humanitarian aid, has been labeled by Al-Kizan as a “strategic enemy” merely for standing firmly against their ideological domination and power project.

The war Alkaizan is waging against the UAE is not spontaneous. It is part of a systematic campaign led by the international network of the Muslim Brotherhood, using media tools and online platforms to spread lies and fabricate accusations in a desperate attempt to tarnish the image of a country that has become a symbol of modernity, stability and openness.

Even more dangerously, this group remains deeply embedded within the Sudanese military establishment. Benefiting from years of infiltration and empowerment, they are now attempting to reorganize within the army and obstruct any serious effort to build a modern, civil Sudan. It is no secret that coup attempts and the incitement of discord often originate from areas still under their influence.

Given this reality, there must be a comprehensive and calculated effort to expose this group and its schemes. This must begin with documenting its bloody and corrupt history, uncovering its ties to transnational terrorist organizations, and supporting the Sudanese national forces striving for a modern civil state, free from religious and political exploitation.

Moreover, the UAE’s continued humanitarian and developmental support for the Sudanese people sends a clear message: those who build are not equal to those who destroy, and people are capable of distinguishing between those who seek progress and stability and those who pursue domination and ruin in the name of religion.

The war waged by Alkaizan against the UAE is nothing more than a desperate cry from the rubble of defeat. Yet it is also a constant reminder that the Muslim Brotherhood and its arms should not be met with silence — they must be exposed through global awareness, confrontation, and genuine Arab Muslim solidarity.
