 Indian American Impact endorses 7 more ‘trailblazing’ candidates

Indian American Impact, a leading political advocacy organization seeking to build power for Indian Americans and South Asians, has endorsed seven more “trailblazing” candidates running for various offices across the United States.

“Dozens of South Asian American candidates who do reflect our values have stepped up to run for office at all levels of government and will be on the ballot this fall,” it said announcing the new slate of candidates..

The newly endorsed candidates are:

Vin Gopal, New Jersey State Senate LD-1;

Rishi Bagga, Florida, State House HD-35;

Balvir Singh, New Jersey, Burlington County Commissioner;

Priya Tamilarasan, Ohio, Gahanna City Attorney;

Minita Sanghvi, New York, Sarasota Springs Finance Commissioner;

Seema Dixit, Virginia, FCPS School Board;

Ashwini Udgaonkar, Pennsylvania, Marple Township Commissioner.

This brings the number of Impact-endorsed candidates and visionary leaders who will champion our communities’ priorities and core beliefs if elected this November to 19, according to a media release.

“In recent years, we’ve seen what’s possible when Indian Americans step up to flex our political power. We helped deliver a senate majority, and we sent Kamala Harris to the nation’s second most powerful office,” Impact said appealing to community members to join the movement.

Neil Makhija, County Commissioner, Pennsylvania;

Nina Ahmad, City Council, Pennsylvania;

Puja Khanna, County Supervisor, Virginia;
