Yo-Yo Ma joins AAPI Victory Fund campaign to support Kamala Harris
World-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma has come out in support for Democratic Indian American candidate Kamala Harris’s historic run for President. The AAPI Victory Fund announced the new endorsement video in an exclusive Instagram post with Billboard (17.1 million+ followers).
“billboard @ Exclusive: Acclaimed cellist @yoyoma endorses Kamala Harris for president with a message for his fellow Asian Americans: ‘Vote responsibly, with your heart,’” read an Instagram post.
The endorsement video, available in both English and Mandarin, showcases Yo-Yo Ma’s personal reflections on the Vice President candidacy and urging especially the Asian American community to vote for Harris.
The video is also available in Mandarin, amplifying AAPI Victory Fund’s efforts to reach all AANHPI communities and meet voters where they are and in the languages they speak.

Meanwhile, US Representative Pramila Jayapal, Maryland Lt. Governor Aruna Miller, Michigan State Representative and House Majority Whip Ranjeev Puri, Maya Harris and actor and activist Mark Ruffalo, helped host impactful voter turnout events in Michigan, over the weekend, according to a media release.
The events, hosted by the AAPI Victory Fund, Emgage Action, South Asians of MI Organizing for Serious Action (SAMOSA), Michigan One Campaign, and Indian American IMPACT rallied supporters and launched canvassers to turn around the vote in the critical battleground state of Michigan.
